Check public Wi-Fi first
Confirm the network name and complete any legitimate hotspot login before connecting. Keep HTTPS warnings visible, avoid unexpected certificate installations and turn off automatic joining when you leave.
Connect and check
Make sure ordinary internet access works, choose a route and connect. Test the website or app you need. If it fails, record the symptom and try one alternative route.
