How to report a Kuaimiao VPN problem: an evidence and privacy checklist
Report a Kuaimiao VPN issue with clear timestamps, versions and comparison results. Use the template and review screenshots and logs for private information.
Describe the failed task before guessing the cause
A connected indicator, a page that times out and a connection lost after sleep describe different observations. A report saying only “VPN broken” leaves the recipient to reconstruct the device, network and sequence. Changing several settings at once also makes a recovery difficult to explain. This guide helps organize observations; it does not diagnose your device or claim unverified Kuaimiao features.
Write “not tested” or “unknown” when necessary. On a work, school or otherwise managed device, follow the administrator’s instructions rather than changing network policy yourself.
Capture six categories of evidence
Record the approximate incident time and time zone, operating system and client version, network type, client status, failed task and exact error. Check versions in the appropriate system or application information when available; do not repeatedly reinstall merely to obtain a version. You do not need to publish your Wi-Fi name.
Keep “client connected” separate from “website loaded.” Preserve the difference between a timeout, a certificate warning and an HTTP response such as 403. Note whether one service or all tested services fail, whether another device is affected, and whether an update, sleep or network change preceded the incident. Timing suggests a question; it does not prove the cause.
Make a small, controlled comparison
Save unsent work and choose two sites you are permitted to access. Note the current result, disconnect normally and check the base connection. If that works, try one normal reconnection. Only compare another connection option if your actual client provides it.
If convenient and permitted, repeat the same task on another network you control, considering mobile-data charges. Change one condition at a time. Do not simultaneously reset networking, clear the browser and replace the client. Never bypass certificate warnings, disable security protections or install an unfamiliar certificate just to complete a test.
Copy a blank report
Paste the template into your own notes or a support channel whose identity you have verified. It does not send anything automatically. Keep unperformed checks marked “not tested”; the fields are prompts, not a demand to upload sensitive files.

Question for support: __________An illustrative example, not a real incident
This is fictional: “Around 20:15 Beijing time, a laptop on home Wi-Fi showed connected. Page A timed out; page B loaded. After normal disconnection, A still timed out. Mobile data has not been tested. This began after waking the laptop, but the relationship is unconfirmed.”
The example distinguishes observation from explanation. It does not turn one failed website into a general outage or assume that waking caused driver damage. Replace it with your own facts; disclose internal business addresses only when necessary and appropriate.
Share the minimum necessary information
Crop screenshots to the relevant error and state. Check address-bar parameters, adjacent tabs, notifications and other windows. Hide email addresses, phone numbers, account identifiers, QR codes, one-time codes, subscription URLs, payment information and access tokens. Masking the visible username alone is insufficient.
Logs and wireless reports can expose device and network identifiers or business addresses. Do not post complete logs in public comments. Ask verified support which file and time range are necessary; without a suitable private upload channel, start with a text summary. Microsoft’s general wireless troubleshooting guidance highlights the sensitivity of diagnostic reports and preserving evidence before disruptive resets; this is not a recommendation to reset every VPN problem.
Stop safely and document the outcome
Pause when you see a certificate warning, unexpected sign-in page or request for passwords or payment verification codes. Do not remove managed-device policies. If basic internet access fails without the VPN, address that first.
After recovery, append the time, the single change made and the result of repeating the original task. If it recovered without changes, say so and leave the cause unconfirmed. Preserve the original record for comparison next time.
